The first weeks in Room 6

We have had a lovely first few weeks in Room 6. We're starting to make new friends, and have talked about how Room 6 is a very special class, where we all look after each other. We all made a friendship fruit salad which helped us to talk about the kinds of things we like to see the children doing at school. In our friendship fruit salad we put in different fruits which represent the varying attributes we like to encourage in the children. We talked about  how we have helpful children, hard working children, kind children, listening children, sharing children and these all help to make us happy while we are at school. We had some rotten bananas, that weren't very nice but nobody wanted those in our friendship fruit salad. We're always on the look out for how our class helps to look after one another and have seen many wonderful examples of this happening already. You might like to ask your child if they can tell you what they remember about our friendship fruit salad.
