Brain awareness week

This week has been brain awareness week and what a great and interesting time we have had. The week started with a fascinating talk by Mr Saker a specialist on the workings of the brain.  We all learnt heaps and shared our findings back in class. Here are some of the things we learnt.
" your brain is like a computer with no screen."
" If you damage a part of your brain everything can go black and white"
" When someone asks you to put up your right hand the left side of your brain is working"
" your brain is like a computer but you have to learn things by yourself to put into it"
"while you are a sleep your brain is still working"
Through out this week we have been finding out more about the brain. Take a look at all the different things we have been doing.

Using the brain to remember all the things on the paper. Cover them over and see what you remember. write it down or draw them. We found it tricky to get them all.

What straight sided shapes can we make with a piece of string. Triangle

Trying to make a square

Making a diamond

Here is a pentagon

Making a hexagon

Making an octagon

unscrambling the brain!
