We had some fun with some black sand during our inquiry time. We put the sand on top of a tray and used our magnets underneath the trays to see what would happen. We discovered that the sand was magnetic and we could make it move with the magnet. We even tried to move the sand to make pictures. This was quite tricky but we have great imaginations.
Toby and Lachie discovered that when they spun their magnet around the sand moved in the same way. It is fun to investigate and make discoveries of our own.
