Measurement

Over the next few weeks we will be using non standard and standard forms of measuring. We started by thinking of all the different things we measure and how we measure and what we use to measure. Next we sorted gingerbread men in order of size. We talked about things that are smaller and shorter than different objects.
Today we drew around Charlie and used cubes to measure how long and wide he was. First we estimated and then we counted in blocks of 10 his length and width.
Measuring how long the day chart is.

How long is the house point chart.

How high is the radiator.

Charlie lies down ready to be drawn around.

Measuring how tall Charlie is 132 cubes!
