Life cycle play

On Friday we had great fun acting out the life cycle of a butterfly. Mrs Salisbury taught us the song The birth of a butterfly and Curtis, Callie, Marieve and Archie acted out the parts.

A butterfly lays two eggs on a leaf 

The eggs crack open and two caterpillars come out.They eat and eat and eat and eat until....

The caterpillars turn into a chrysalis

After two weeks they start to push themselves out and pop! 

Out come two beautiful butterflies that flutter around.
