Even more changes in Room 6

We have been planting Nasturtium seeds and watching them grow. Here are some of the ideas we have about our plants. It has been amazing how fast our seeds have grown.

My plant is very big. My seed has cracked open now. The stem is coming out. We cannot wait until the flower comes out. I think it will be awesome! They are spicy to eat. I have eaten them before. I do not like them.

I hope my plant is not going to die. Inside the flower it is a little bit spicy.

I have planted a seed. It has grown very tall. It has leaves on it and it was fun. I can’t wait until it grows into a flower. It is a bit spicy.

My plant now has leaves on it and it’s growing more. They are tiny and have veins on them. They are light green at the top and they have dark green on the bottom and have a little bit of blue on one at the bottom. It needs water and sun to help it grow very well. It has to be healthy to grow.

I have planted a seed. I have watered my plant. Roots are growing. A stem is growing up. It needs water and sun. I like plants, they are fun. I love my plant.

What fantastic gardeners you all are. We would love to see photos of any children brave enough to eat the flowers at the end! from Kiri ( Liams mum)

I love to grow seeds too.Nasturtiums have lovely cheerful colours so it is exciting to wait for them to flower for you.

What a fun project. Don't be tempted to dig up your plant to see if the roots are growing.
