Library opening

On Friday we had a special opening of our new school library. It was very exciting to finally see all the building work completed and the fences come down so we could go into the library to see our new learning space. It looks fantastic! 

Guests were welcomed and Mr Bird spoke about the story of how the new library came about. It's been a long time coming but it is well worth the wait. The kapa haka group performed and Mr Chadwick said a special blessing over the building.  Tui the dog even came out to give his thanks for us looking after him so well while he has been 'helping' on the building site.
