Keeping ourselves safe

This Term we will be focusing on how to keep ourselves safe. We will be looking at sun safety, fire safety and personal safety. At the end of last term we began by having Virginia from KIDS - Kids Involved in Dog Safety - come to talk to us about how to be safe around dogs. She brought along Amber who sat beautifully in the library and let us all practice stroking her.  We had to ask before we touched her and Virginia showed us how she liked to be stroked.
Just remember:

If a dog has a snack keep well back!

A dogs not a toy don't tease and annoy!

Quiet and slow is the way to go!

Don't run and shout it freaks us out !

Get into a turtle if a dog knocks you down

If a dog is tied up outside leave it alone and don't go too close

How to dispose of dog poo

Always ask the owner before you touch a dog
