This Term we have lots of fun and exciting things happening. Our inquiry focus is electricity and sound. We started this with a scavenger hunt around the school looking for things that need electricity to work.
Static electricity is pretty fun to experiment with and we spent some time investigating, discovering and laughing our way through some activities that helped to show us static electricity in action.
We all had fun making our hair stand on end - amazing!
We charged up some balloons by rubbing them against our hair and a woollen blanket and were able to then use the balloon to attract some small light objects like glitter and feathers.
You might like to share more ideas at home together about static electricity.
