Constellations

 As we have been looking at the sun, our closest star we decided to also take a look at other stars we can see in our night sky. We got the chance to see a lot of different constellations when we went to space place a few weeks ago and found them very interesting. 

Back in class we had another look at some different constellations and then practiced drawing some of the ones we liked. We then worked with a partner to make some of the constellations using mini marshmallows to show the stars.  

Skyview app, available on itunes is worth checking out if you are interested in finding out about objects in our night sky. We had a chance to use this app in class with our buddy class and were able to discover not only constellations but planets, the space station and other interesting objects.
