Friendship fruit salad

Room 6 has been busy getting to know each other these past few weeks. Together we made a friendship fruit salad that helped us to think of what we would like our friends to be like.

As each fruit was added to the fruit salad we choose words to describe the type of friends we are looking for.  Nice, caring, special, kind, helpful, and good at doing their work were some of the ideas we came up with.

Once we had put in all the fruits we added some chocolate chips and mini marshmallows to help us remember to use sweet words and actions in our class.

One ingredient we left out of our fruit salad were some rotten bananas. The bananas were yucky and we decided we wouldn't want these in our fruit salad, just like we wouldn't want yucky words or actions in our classroom that would make us feel bad.

We loved making and eating our friendship fruit salad with all our new friends in Room 6.
