From Earth the surface of the moon looks nice and smooth but we know the moon has craters. We learnt that meteorites, asteroids and comets can make craters on the moon when they crash into it.
We wanted see just how that worked so we got a tray of flour to use as our moon's surface. We dropped different objects into the flour to see what they would do. We found that the heavier objects made a bigger crater and the lighter objects made a smaller crater.
We also found that the higher we dropped the object, the bigger the crater was. We thought that the further away the object, was the more force it had when it crashed.

Me and Phoebe really liked doing the experiment. We
wish we could land on the real moon and see our own
footprints
